Greenview facilitated the development and drafting of the WTTC’s “Connecting Global Climate Action” report, highlighting the travel and tourism industry’s progress and commitment to addressing climate change.
Released in preparation for the COP15 climate talks in Copenhagen anticipated to address climate change upon the expiration of the Kyoto Protocol, the report outlined a strategic framework with five key priorities:
- measuring and reducing emissions
- advancing renewable energy adoption
- enhancing climate resilience
- fostering partnerships, and
- promoting sustainable growth.
These priorities highlight the need for businesses to decarbonize, adapt to climate risks, and support the Paris Agreement. Greenview’s role ensured a practical approach, driving climate action and strengthening the industry’s sustainability efforts.
