Greenview led the development of the ASEAN Post-COVID-19 Tourism Recovery Plan on behalf of the Canadian Trade and Investment Facility for Development (CTIF) and the ASEAN Secretariat. As the selected consultant, Greenview guided the process from initial research to strategy design and final framework delivery, combining data-driven analysis with extensive regional engagement.
The project began with a comprehensive desk study assessing the pandemic’s impact on ASEAN’s tourism sector and its potential long-term implications without coordinated policy action. These insights shaped a set of policy recommendations, refined through virtual consultations with industry stakeholders and workshops with National Tourism Organizations (NTOs) across ASEAN Member States to capture local priorities and challenges.
Building on this foundation, Greenview developed the ASEAN Post-COVID-19 Tourism Recovery Plan, outlining a phased roadmap, strategic actions, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide implementation. The framework aligns with the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework and provides a regional blueprint for a tourism recovery that is sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient – fostering stronger collaboration between ASEAN divisions, national governments, and the private sector.
