The Net Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) initiative, led by the Joint Meetings Industry Council in partnership with the UNFCCC, brings together hundreds of the industry’s leading players across the value chain to decarbonize the event industry.
Greenview has served as the lead consultant for NZCE since its launch in 2021, guiding the technical work behind the initiative. This includes developing:
- The NZCE Pledge, adopted by over 60 companies in the event sector
- The 2050 Net Zero Roadmap for the events industry
- The event measurement methodology and reporting framework
Greenview has also authored supporting guidance documents on offsetting, logistics, smart production and waste management, food and food waste, venue energy, and travel and accommodation.
